Science Factor aims at solving a paradox of our days – high unemployment among young people is registered in France and all across Europe, and yet innovative high-tech companies encounter problems with recruiting new candidates. Under the auspices of the French Minister of Higher Education & Research and supported by Orange and Syntec, Science Factor is a contest aiming at inciting at least 1500 young people to opt for science education.

Carried out for Orange, Mutationnelles 2010 reveals a shortage of female candidates in the ICT sector. For the first time, the number of female engineers is down in 2010, particularly in information technologies,where little is known about the many job opportunities available.
