On 8th March 2013, coinciding with International Women's Day, the Global Board Ready Women searchable database will be opened up to Executive Search Firms and Corporate Chairs from around the world.

In mid-December the European Business Schools/Women on Boards initiative announced the formal establishment of the Global Board-Ready Women (GBRW) online database to respond to corporate governance needs for more gender diversity in publicly listed European companies.

On 7th of December 2011, at Amcham’s offices, we had the pleasure to host yet another breakfast organized by the Women Leaders’ Taskforce, created through the joint effort of Amcham and WIL. The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the current initiatives regarding financial regulation and the underlying challenges.

The issue of governance attracted over 60 participants to the WIL biannual meeting and its first general assembly, July 5. Event host CEO and Chairman of France Télécom Stéphane Richard, engaged in a dialogue on measures taken by his Board to establish a more gender-balanced leadership after the severe socio-economic crisis.

WIL and AmCham France will advance their women in leadership agenda in a series of common actions. In this respect, the two entities will run the AmCham Women Leaders Program, under the guidance of Thaima Samman, WIL President and Partner Cabinet Piton Samman, and Nathalie Wright, member of the COMEX and Public Sector Lead for Microsoft France.

Marina Niforos was one of the co-founding partners of WIL while she was at INSEAD, and will be assuming new responsibilities as Managing Director at American Chamber of Commerce in France as of September 6th, 2010. Marina will be responsible for running the operations of the business association on a day-to-day basis.
