Get involved
The candidates for the Women Talent Pool Program, (both in Role Model and Emerging Leader positions) can be nominated by anyone. Self-nominations are welcome. Candidates will consequently be invited to submit an application comprising a motivational letter for joining the program and a detailed résumé. Completed applications are then evaluated by a selected panel of the WiL board members and Role Models involved in the program. Each newly chosen Role Model or Emerging Leader will be announced to all the Women Talent Pool Program participants within a month of their application.
Emerging Leader
As a reflection of our belief in a strong Europe, we aim to build a multicultural movement of emerging leaders capable of harvesting and taking to the next level the knowledge, charisma and experience generously shared by role models while being introduced to the learning opportunities offered by the program. The program is open to women who have recently entered leadership positions or have a high potential for leadership. The Women Talent Pool Program is designed for participants who wish to develop, enhance and improve their leadership skills. Individuals should be nominated for the program based on their potential and motivation to complete all requirements and participate fully within all its components. Emerging Leaders are expected to:
- travel at least twice a year (two days per trip)
- self-finance or obtain sponsorship from their corporation for their travel costs
- show commitment to online networking (50-70 hours per year)
- participate in online training ( 1-2 days a year)
- prepare written input for WiL events and contribute with speeches
Role Model
Being a Role Model is the embodiment of high professional and social status, leadership in managing international teams, seniority in approaching theoretical issues of international relevance and a high consciousness in regards to social responsibility. Role Models are expected to:
- nourish the talent pool by identifying and proposing emerging leaders to the WiL Board
- become an individual or corporate sponsor, share experiences and shape future leaders
- provide access to training and development opportunities for the talent pool members: online, offline, campus visits, coaching sessions, high-level events
