Senior Adviser to the Chairman and Founder of the World Economic Forum & Principal Advisor to the Inter American Development Bank
Cristiana Falcone currently has two major appointments. She is one of two Senior Advisers to the Chairman and Founder of the World Economic Forum and also Principal Advisor to the Inter American Development Bank, one of the world’s largest development institutions.
Ms. Falcone has over 15 years of international career experience working in strategy and business development for global corporations (SONY, Shell), international organizations (ILO, IFAD, FAO, UNDCCP) and media (RAI, Gruppo Espresso) globally.
Ms. Falcone graduated from the University of Rome La Sapienza in Political Science and earned her Master’s Degree in Humanitarian Assistance from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy with a thesis on the role of media in complex emergencies. She holds a Master's in Diplomatic Studies from the Italian Society for International Organization and the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and several post graduate certificates in leadership, corporate strategy and change management.
Cristiana is a member of the journalists' guild of Italy. She serves on the boards of RayTV, an internet start-up and Internews, a media NGO. She is also a Program Adviser to the VINNOVA Stanford Research Center of Innovation Journalism and a trustee of her family foundation.
